Enhance Your Interior Design With Habitat and Ridgeline Laminates

If you’re looking for a simple design change that can have a significant impact on the look and feel of your space, updating your flooring is a great choice. Floating floors are DIY friendly and Laminate flooring is quite kind on your budget, so our Habitat and Ridgeline collections may be just what the interior designer ordered.

What Are Habitat and Ridgeline?

Habitat and Ridgeline are our new Flooring Xtra exclusive collections. Featuring 12 décors each, with both standard (Habitat) and extra-large (Ridgeline) floorboards available, these ranges include both European Oak and Australian Native inspired designs.

What Are The Benefits Of Habitat And Ridgeline?

The top five benefits of our Habitat and Ridgeline collections are:

Child And Pet Friendly

Laminate flooring is particularly well equipped to deal with family life, as it is highly resistant to scratches, dents, stains and fading. This means that pets’ claws or childrens’ toys aren’t going to immediately destroy your floors and that you can be confident that your design will stand the test of time. Those without children and pets will also enjoy this enhanced durability, but it is particularly important in family homes.

72-Hour Spill Protection

72-hour spill protection means that if you knock a drink over or your pet has an accident, there’s no need to panic. Laminate floors have a waterproof surface, and the edge profile and lock system on our Habitat and Ridgeline collections also offer a certain level of protection against moisture. This doesn’t mean that you can simply ignore spills, but it does mean you don’t have to worry about major damage as long as they’re cleaned properly and in a timely manner.

UNICLIC Locking System

Offering two modes of installation, the UNICLIC Locking System is an advanced technology which makes installing Laminate floors far quicker and easier. This is perfect for those looking to DIY their new flooring system, while also making life simpler for professional installers (and therefore reducing the cost if you choose to engage one).

AC4 Abrasion Rating & Class Rating

The AC Rating of a Laminate flooring collection highlights how tough the floorboards within it are. An AC4 rating means that both Habitat and Ridgeline can be installed in even the highest traffic areas of the home, as well as some commercial settings.

Real Look And Feel

Finally, both Habitat and Ridgeline provide true-to-life detail for gorgeous aesthetic, and are embossed to provide a genuine timber feeling. The majority of both collections features an Embossed in Register finish, while the remaining décors offer woodgrain embossing so you can still enjoy that natural feeling underfoot.

Good acoustic properties are important both for the health of your family and regulatory obligations. Quieter environments are better for everyone, so our Hybrid floors come with a pre-adhered underlay that helps ensure their acoustic compliance.

Floors that feature a waterproof surface are a great choice for those worried about spills or other accidents in their home. Our Luxury Vinyl Plank floorboards and Hybrid floors feature an inherently waterproof surface thanks to their water-resistant construction, while our Laminate floors enjoy a waterproof surface thanks to their aluminium oxide wear layer.

In some cases – like with our Luxury Vinyl Plank floors and Hybrid flooring – a waterproof surface also means that floorboards are suitable for installation in wet areas such as bathrooms (excluding shower bases) and laundries. This allows for the creation of a seamless design throughout your entire home – a great perk for those who want consistency in their style.

Hard floors are assigned a Class Rating based on their suitability for different situations.

When you see Class Rating 23 assigned to a floor, this means that it is suitable for installation in even the highest traffic areas of your home.

Class Rating 23 is the highest residential rating achievable and is applicable to most Imagine Floors by Airstep flooring collections.
