Our newest Hybrid flooring collection – Ikoma – features eight stunning décors with a 6mm construction. Meaning “rely on”, Ikoma is inclusive of both European Oak and Australian Native designs and is both versatile and dependable.
In today’s blog we’ll be exploring the benefits of this range, so let’s jump in:
Waterproof Surface
The Ikoma collection of Hybrid flooring features a waterproof surface which makes it suitable for installation in every room of the home – including wet areas such as bathrooms and laundries. This means that you can install your chosen Ikoma décor throughout the entire home and create a cohesive vibe across all of your spaces.
Phthalate Free, Low VOC Construction
It’s important to ensure that you’re creating a healthy interior environment for yourself and your family, Ikoma can assist with this, as the entire collection is low VOC and phthalate free. The range is also FloorScore certified, which means that you can rest easily knowing you’ve selecting flooring that is safe for your health.
Class 23 Rating
The class rating of a floor refers to where it can suitably be installed in terms of traffic levels within the home. A class rating of 23 means that Ikoma can be installed in even the highest traffic areas of a residential space, so this range can be laid anywhere from the spare room that hardly gets used through to the entryway every comes and goes via every day.
Inherent Acoustic Compliance
The Ikoma collection comes with a pre-adhered underlay that offers inherent acoustic compliance. In homes where there are no requirements for acoustic performance (i.e. standalone dwellings) this simply means that you will have a quieter home. While this is certainly important as noise pollution is terrible for our health, you will find that acoustic compliance is even more vital in multi-dwelling residences. This is because apartments and similar buildings have requirements in place for the amount of noise transmission that is acceptable within and between residences, and floors must meet certain standards in order to be permitted to be installed.
True To Life Detail
Let’s be honest, nothing beats a gorgeous, natural looking floor. Unfortunately, timber floors come with a whole host of additional maintenance requirements that many people don’t want to deal with. The good news is that with advances in printing technology, you don’t have to. The Ikoma range of Hybrid floors offers stunning, true to life detail without all of the extra maintenance needs that come with having a natural timber floor.
Low Maintenance
Speaking of maintenance, our Ikoma Hybrid flooring collection is designed to be low maintenance. While you’ll still need to follow the Cleaning, Care and Maintenance Instructions, there are no fancy requirements in terms of looking after your new Imagine Floors by Airstep Hybrid flooring.
Woodgrain Feel
In addition to providing beautiful true to life detail, our Ikoma range feels as good as it looks thanks to woodgrain embossing. This technology allows your floors to present with ridges, swirls, and other details in order to help make them feel more natural.
5G Locking Technology
Ease of installation is important, especially if you’re looking to go the DIY route with your new floors. That’s why our Ikoma Hybrid flooring features 5g locking technology to make laying easier and enhance the stability of the joins. One particularly key benefit of 5g locking is that floors simply click into place, so you’ll know exactly when the floorboards engage.
Lifetime Residential Warranty
If peace of mind is at the top of your wish list, the Lifetime Residential Warranty offered on our Ikoma Hybrid floors may possibly be your favourite feature. As long as these floorboards are installed correctly and properly maintained you can sleep well at night knowing that you’re covered.
15 Year Commercial Warranty
The Ikoma range also features a 15 Year Commercial Warranty for those wishing to install these floors in a business setting. In terms of commercial suitability, Ikoma is considered a Class Rating 33, meaning the collection is suitable for installation in commercial spaces that receive heavy traffic.
