Make the impossible, possible with Helix 700 Underlay from Imagine Floors by Airstep
Helix 700 is a lightweight, environmentally friendly underlayment suitable for use with Timber and Vinyl flooring.
Crafted in Denmark at Nordic Built’s wind powered facility this 2mm thick underlay is PVC and Cork free allowing for superior bond strength, a particularly important feature when looking to use the product with Luxury Vinyl Planks or Tiles. Plus, this hard set, superior underlayment adds plenty of comfort underfoot.
Featuring a 4-star AAAC rating, Helix 700 makes use of patented cross-linking technology to improve noise reduction while a composition that is 90% wind power recycled rubber enhances the sustainability of this solution. Sound transmission within the space is significantly dampened and Helix 700 easily exceeds the current BCA minimum acoustic requirement.
This incredibly versatile underlay solution produces no odour and does not release VOCs into the air. This further improves the eco-friendliness of the product while also benefiting the health and comfort of those who use the space that the underlay is installed within.
Helix 700 is suitable for use as a moisture barrier and is resistant to the growth of mould and mildew making it an ideal solution for humid climates.
Installation of this product is quick and easy as it does not have a memory. In other words, underlay will not curl during installation as it is not a “log & peel” type system. Once Helix 700 has been installed there are no maintenance requirements, and the underlay is covered by a 25-year limited product and system warranty when properly laid.
Helix 700 has been “deemed to satisfy” requirements under the Building Code of Australia and we are pleased to incorporate it into the collection of solutions available to the Australian public under Airstep Australia’s manufacturing and distribution networks.

Helix 700 is crafted from 90% recycled rubber and 10% recyclable rigid plastics and is PVC, Cork and odour free.
This underlay features a permeable surface which provides superior adhesion, even with dual stick commercial vinyl and LVT.
